I’m searching for documentation or tutorial about “Encode/Decode/ Encrypt/Decrypt Plugin for Bubble”
Could someone help me?
Thanks
Hello @quidsicurezza ,
Thank you for your interest in our plagshin
I would like to inform you that we do not have documentation for this plugin, so I would like to recommend using the demo page as a practical guide. This plugin is simple to customize and I believe you will find it quite easy to use.
Here’s a brief overview of its functionality:
- You can encode data using a key and subsequently decode it using the same key.
- The plugin supports multiple encoding and decoding formats, giving you a range of options to suit your specific needs.
The hands-on experience from experimenting with the demo editor should give you a clear understanding of how the plugin works.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask them.
Cheers.
Is there a best practice for adding the data to your database? The encryption works, but for some reason, I can’t get the encryption to save in my database. I have even reworked my data and tried multiple things without success.
Hello @ttamason,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Regarding your concern, after triggering the “Encoder Encode/Decode” action, the element requires a fraction of a second to be able to populate the database. This is likely why it wasn’t saving in your use case.
For your situation, could you please create a custom event specifically to save the data to the database, also please make sure the field is of type “text”.
Then, in your workflow, after using the “Encoder Encode/Decode” action, use the “Schedule a Custom Event” for the custom event you created earlier, and set the delay to 1 second.
Please try this workaround and let me know how it works for you. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out.
Nevertheless, I have forwarded this matter to our development team to see what can be done from our side. I will update you when there is any news regarding this.
Thanks again, and I look forward to your reply.
Best regards,
Stefan
