Adding tags with a checkbox to a dataset (audio file)

Hello
I am trying to add tags to my Audio files (mediation) with the help of the Checkbox Element.

I created a Tag data type as text. Then added the Tag field as a list of Tags to my audio data type (meditations in the template).

I cannot find the way to add the proper settings in the Add Meditation Workflow (Create a Meditation)

Since it has to add the specific tag to a list it will be different then the settings for Free/Featured/Visible. These get only Yes or No as an option…

Thanks for the question.

First of all, you need to complete your settings here by adding the required pop-up:

So, the issue is related to the fact, that you have created a new Data Type in your DataBase and tried to use it in workflow, but in the default pop, there is no input for adding the Tag.

Thus, you need to indicate here your Checkbox element, using for adding a Tag.

Thanks for your reply.
I don’t understand: the popup you see in my image (with text in red)
is the one you are suggesting (Pop up New Meditation).

You are saying that I need to FIRST set up the popup’s condition for the checkbox and THEN setup the field in the workflow? How? There are no set tags to choose from the dropdown.

Please allow me to advise you to create the next workflow:

• Firstly, you need to create a group ( as on your screenshot above), which will be the same as this group with a checkbox:
  

  

• Each checkbox should have Data Source, in the “Create new Meditation” action, you need to add new fields for each checkbox with your Tags:
  

  

As a result, you’d add new fields, where should be a condition, like Vanilla = Popup New meditation’s Vanilla.

But I already have the field “Tag” (as a list of texts)

If I create many fields as you propose I cannot use the tags as a list:

I start thinking that adding tags to a list wont work with checkboxes… Is there another, smarter way?

Here are 2 possible methods of creating required functionality:

1. The first method is just removing the “Tags” data type (which you’ve created as a List of Texts) and creating a new entry ( as a Text).

After it, you just can re-create the workflow, which I provided you earlier.

2. The second method is that you can use a data type already created from your database, but you cannot use it in the same way as all the other data in Popup.
   Using the List of Text, you need to create “Do a search for” as a Data Source.

Moreover, you can’t use a simple checkbox with this data format, since the platform will simply not understand what information it should use for the checkbox.

I will have to add the tags from the Bubble dashboard.

Please note that you can create or change any functionality within the template since all default features are provided for demonstration purposes.
In case you are willing to use the tags for creating a new meditation - you can do it in any convenient way for you.

I am aware of the possibility of changing any feature.

But I am not aware of any convenient way to add tags and reuse them.
