Advanced Twitter API - Send Direct Message

Hi ZeroQode team,
Thanks a lot for the awesome work that you’re doing.
The advanced Twitter API plugin is a bomb and I’m about to buy the full licence.

But first, I wanted to ask you if you could add the simple action to send a Direct Message to a specific UserId? And optionally attaching an image to the message?

Thanks!
M

Hi @m.mosca2,
Thank you for reaching out and for your request.

It has been added to the plugin backlog improvements list and it is investigated how feasible it is to implement the requested feature in the nearest plugin update.
Once it will happen - I let you know, but, at the moment, I’m unable to provide you with an approximate time estimate since this feature request is a low priority.
Thank you for understanding.

If meanwhile there are any other plugin-related questions that I can help with, please let me know.
Best regards,

Nope, that one is my main priority

Thanks buddy!

Hi @Igor, any news on this?

I’m really looking forward to using this plugin + Twitter DM feature :pray:t3:
Thanks

Hi @m.mosca2,
Thanks for getting back.

It is still under dev team investigation, for some reason we receive error status 401 code 32 whenever we initialize POST direct_messages/events/new (message_create).
We’ve tried to contact the Twitter support team in order to solve this issue and to be possible to update our plugin with this action.

Once any news will become available, I will let you know.
Thank you for understanding
Regards,

Thanks, @Igor!
ah… this is strange, I was trying to use another plugin to generate the signed OAuth 1.1 header required by the POST direct_messages/events/new (message_create), but I’m getting the same error!

(I’m using the token with user context permission retrieved with your plugin)

@Igor I’ve just tagged you in the conversation here Sending message events cause 401 error - #12 by matteomosca - Twitter API v2 - Twitter Developers

If you can provide the snippet of the code you implemented to send the direct message I think we can easily solve it… Maybe it’s just a small issue on your side?

Hi, @Igor any chance you can share the snippet of code this week on Sending message events cause 401 error - #9 by gauloics - Twitter API v2 - Twitter Developers?

I think they can really help!

Thanks :pray:t3:

Hi @m.mosca2,

Glad to announce that we have updated the plugin with the new Version: 1.13.0.
It was added a new action to send direct messages, as you’ve requested.

Please check the plugin demo editor page for more workflow examples and configurations.
Also, change the plugin version in your app to the latest one and let me know if it worked.
