Agora Plugin bug on mobile

Hello there!
We are using Agora Plugin for real time calls and notised that on iOS sound doesn`t come from the speakerphone, it comes only from the earspeaker as with a usual audio call.

How we can fix this?

Devices:

  • iphone 12 pro max, Chrome
  • iphone 11, Safari

Screenshots with settings:

Thank you!

Another problem with Agora plugin - it blocks the closing of the page.
When user leaving room (workflow Leave Agora RTC - go to the page home) broswer shows notification “Are you sure you want to leave this page?”.
At the same time I see an issue with Agora RTC: State uid is not defined in the plugin

This negatively affects the user experience, how can I get around this problem ? @Greg.P could you help me please?

Hi @schipanova.me, thanks for reaching out.

I’ve noticed that you asked this question in another thread and my colleague will take care of this.

Regarding your first post here that on iOS devices, sound doesn’t come from the speakerphone, this is not a bug.
The Agora service is detecting the automatically available speaker of your device and it is not possible to do any changes through our plugin, but you can try changing the default speaker inside your iOS phone settings and see if this will work for your case.

I hope the above will be useful to you.
Regards,

@Igor Thank you for your answer! Is there any way to make sound on mobile louder? I make it on max volume on my iphone but it’s not as loud as on zoom calls (for example).

Hi @schipanova.me, thanks for your reply.

It is quite strange because the Agora Plugin detects automatically default speakers, you might need to check your phone’s general settings.

For this please: Open the “Settings” app on the iPhone and head to “General”, then go to “Accessibility” Look under the Interaction settings for “Call Audio Routing” and tap on it. Change the setting from “Automatic” (the default) to “Speaker” to make speakerphone the default for all calls made to and from the iPhone. (Screenshot by Lightshot)

If this will not help try to find sound settings inside the browser you are using, under the Privacy settings.

Please try my suggestions and let me know if they helped.
Best regards,
