Air Calendar - Recurring Events

Hi there,

I have an issue and a question to run by the team. First, when I set an event to recurring, and put in the relevant date and time intervals:

The calendar only loads up two weeks worth of events. For example, in the pictured above events, they do not repeat until the the end date. They stop repeating 2 weeks after the start date.

I am on version 2.100.00. I was told to to downgrade to this version after the newest version was giving errors. It has been working perfectly since.

Any idea what is going on there?

My question is, is there anyway to edit a repeating event with out affecting all of the events? Curios if I could have a daily event. Say I delete the Wednesday one, it currently deletes all of the events. Am I using the plug in wrong or has this functionality not been added.

Thank you!

Hello @winatjana,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Indeed, there were some problems with keys related to the new library version, which we have successfully resolved earlier. You can now fully upgrade to the latest plugin version, which is working well.

Regarding the concern you mentioned with the events now showing 2 weeks after the start, could you please let us know if, after updating the plugin, you still encounter this problem? If so, could you please share screenshots or a screencast of how you set up the plugin element (have you set any values for the minimum and maximum dates), how the calendar looks after those 2 weeks, and also how you set the recurring event in the database—specifically all the values for it from the table.

Regarding editing a repeating event without affecting the others, you can definitely do that as they are separate entities in the database table. Could you please share more details on what exactly you meant by that?

Thanks, and I am looking forward to your reply.

Best regards,
Stefan

Hey Stephan, just upgraded. Still facing this issue.

And the setup:

Hello @winatjana,

Thanks for your message.

I’ve looked into the details you shared in the video, and they indeed look to be fine at first glance. To further troubleshoot this, if possible, could you add our Support Team email to the list of collaborators in your application and share the app’s link with us? By doing so, we will be able to examine your settings and replicate them on our end to pinpoint the cause.

To add our Support Team as a collaborator, please follow these steps in the Bubble Editor: Settings > Collaboration > Add email support@zeroqode.com.

Additionally, please share instructions on how to reproduce the issue on our side, including the name of the page where the plugin element is located, any workflows attached, a short description of where to click, and user credentials needed to log in to troubleshoot the reported issue. If possible, please attach a short Loom video (screencast recording) providing this guide.

Also, to address the other thing you mentioned in the video about trying to delete an event: the recurring events in the Air Calendar work differently than basic events. All the recurring events you see in the calendar are essentially represented by a single entry in the database, so deleting it will indeed remove them completely.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hello @winatjana,

Thank you for your message and for adding us as collaborators.

I have looked into your app and managed to find the cause of why it was showing the recurring event only for two weeks. Specifically, it was related to the constraints set in the Event’s data source. In your case, it was checking if the Event’s “Start date” is within the Calendar’s views. However when you move to the next week, the Calendar’s view state also changes, and the recurring event’s “Start date” is no longer within these constraints.

This is also causing an error message in the console, as you are using the Calendar’s state within the Calendar element itself.

For your use case, you might use the current day plus or minus 7 days or something similar.

Regarding the fact that the recurring events are always showing as 2 hours despite not being so, I have noticed this as well. And indeed, it shouldn’t be like that, it should take the Start date and End date time from the event. I have already forwarded this to the development team to further investigate and provide a resolution promptly.

I hope this information proves helpful. Please let me know if everything is clear or if you have any other questions.

Have a great day ahead!
