Any Image Compressor - Critical Bug with cors-anywhere service

It seems that today and possibly yesterday this plugin has went down and affected multiple of my apps where at least one of them is in production with a significant number of live users where this plugin is a key part of image management in the apps.

The compression seems to fail because of the cors-anywhere-zq.herokuapp.com tool failing when a compression is triggered. Markup 2025-06-10 at 14.58.45.png - Droplr

I have another Zeroqode plugin that is failing for the same reason right now.

Please resolve this ASAP as multiple Zeroqode plugins are down.

Hi @tyler2,

Thank you for reaching out.

This might be related to the recent Heroku server outage.
https://status.heroku.com/incidents/2822

We’ve confirmed with our development team that the Heroku service is currently down, and some functionality of our plugin relies on it.

We’ll notify you as soon as the Heroku service is up and running again, and everything, including the plugin functionality, should be restored.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Best regards,

Thank you, @Igor for getting back to this. I have linked an image of the console logs in the original post.

This would make sense if Heroku is having trouble. Do you all have any ETA of a fix from them? It seems to have been down for quite some time. I would think for as big as Heroku is that they would not let a major outage last for longer than a day.

Hey @tyler2,

We keep an eye on the https://status.heroku.com/ for any updates.

We hope it will be resolved in a few hours.

@Igor It seems that the Heroku outage is resolved when looking at their status page, but this problem still persists. They published a help article to possibly provide a fix: https://help.heroku.com/6RBHRPNK/remediation-steps-for-heroku-incident-on-june-10-2025

I tested as of 1:25am EST and it is still down after they said that it is resolved.

Hi @tyler2,

Thank you for your message and your patience. Our team is actively working on this and closely monitoring the Heroku servers. After reviewing the Heroku logs, we confirmed that the server was affected by a broader platform-level issue, rather than a code error. Although their servers have been partially restored, they are still experiencing difficulties processing all the data, which is causing delays and errors.

We are also exploring alternative solutions and planning to transition to more reliable services, potentially adding 1 or 2 additional services. However, this research, approval, and integration to all plugins will take time.

As soon as I have any updates from the Dev team, I will reach out to you immediately.
If you notice any changes within the plugin performance please let us know.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Best regards,

Thank you for the update @Igor. I do understand. As of now things still seem to be fully broken with these plugs using this service on our side. So we are still having a major problem. Do you think we could get a workaround set up today? I would think this would be high on the priority list for you all?

Eu também estou passando pelo mesmo problema, é muito crítico.

Hi everyone,

We’re doing everything we can to resolve it as quickly as possible. We’re planning to begin the transition of our plugins today to more reliable services, including a primary server and a backup.

I’ll keep you informed of any progress as soon as I receive updates from the dev team.

Thank you again for your understanding and cooperation.

Thank you for the update @Igor! Please let us know when we can test things once the updates are done. Having that today (as soon as possible) would be very helpful.
