I’d like to extract just the position bar from the audioplayer and let people move just that. Is there any way to do it?
I’m trying crazy things with blocking off everything else but it feels like the wrong thing to do.
Should I use ‘scrolling position detector’ or some other tool?

Unfortunately, the Audio Player plugin is not the best option for what you want to achieve because the element of the plugin is the whole and can not be divided into pieces. A better option for your case will be Audio Radio Plugin, it is completely customizable and has the sidebar as a separate element.
