Hello, was there an recent update? My “Fileuploader a current file uploaded” workflow no longer runs when I upload a single 60mb video. I reverted four versions and now it does run upon upload.

is it possible to put a no gui action in a backend workflow?

In my backend workflow, I obtain an image from an api. I would like to save this image to my own aws before I manipulate if further. However, I cannot reference a “no gui uploader” in my back end workflows because I don’t have that no gui uploader element on a page (I don’t even have a page, it’s a backend workflow

I’m having trouble understanding the actions you’re referring to that reference the NoGUI action. For instance, when uploading files to an AWS bucket using an URL to the file, there’s an action called “Uploading to AWS” that can be used in the backend. However, it’s important to note that this action was designed to work with Bubble files, and we’re not sure how it will behave if you insert a URL from another API.

I did not see the new beta action. Is the latest update 1.199 stable? I have about 15 uploaders on various pages on my site, I would hate to change them all and have to change back

We introduced the Beta features about 4 months ago to enhance the security of the plugin. With version 1.199.0, the Beta elements have been integrated as the default functionality, removing the previous elements and all client side actions. We’ve thoroughly tested and provided multiple fixes until this update to ensure their stability!
However, please note that upgrading to the new elements will require more setup due to the changes made to enhance security. Additionally, the upload speed should remain the same, but the server-side action to generate the Presigned URLs may take slightly longer, resulting in a slightly increased total upload time.
We’ve provided more information in the documentation on how to set up the plugin for the new elements and any additional notes. The demo page has been also changed, showing how we set it up on our side -check it to see the differences in setup and upload speed. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me anytime

I tested the plugin demo page - linked here - and it worked as expected on iOS 18.3, all files being uploading without encountering any issues. Yes. user error i guess. i couldn’t find the problem, so I just deleted and started over and it worked. sorry for the false alarm.

We are thrilled to announce some significant changes that have been implemented in our AWS File Uploader plugin, starting with version 1.199.0
As you may recall, we released the beta elements and actions that streamlined the file upload, deletion, and retrieval processes by exclusively utilizing server-side actions. This enhancement significantly bolsters the plugin’s security. As we diligently worked to ensure the beta features functioned as intended, we have successfully migrated them to become the primary elements and actions. Consequently, the previous version that included client-side actions has been completely removed.
If you intend to update the plugin but are currently using the previous elements and actions, please refer to the updated documentation for comprehensive information on how the current setup operates. Additionally, we have released an updated demo page (and editor) showcasing how to set up the plugin and how it functions on a live page!
Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any concerns or questions before updating or if you require further clarification. We would be delighted to assist you

I got a Bubble error: “temporary error” when uploading a file. Did something change in the last couple of days or weeks that I should know about?
I tried many older versions of the AWS File Uploader with the same result. It seems like Bubble changed something internally.
What’s strange is that when I create a new record, it saves without any problem. But when I try to record again, this “temporary error” appears.
Any insights? Thanks! (more to come)

Could you please share a recording of how this behavior occurs? It would be helpful if you could show how the first file is uploaded successfully, followed by uploading the second file when the error appears. Additionally, it would be great to see your plugin setup along with the actions and their settings.

It went away after a few days… but I think the installation of plugins in Chrome (in my case Brave) is the reason for this disorganization! But everything’s fine now.

Sometimes, checking in another browsers or disabling the extensions of the browser can resolve these kinds of issues. Glad to hear that the previous behavior has been fixed!
