AWS S3 plugin not returning file URL

Hey there!
I’ve implemented your S3 plugin into my app and am running into a frustrating issue: I can’t get the plugin to return the AWS file URL once a file is uploaded. Interestingly, I’m only experiencing this issue with the GUI version. (The No GUI version properly returns the AWS URL in a simple text field, but I can’t use this version as it’s not sufficiently configurable.)

My S3 bucket settings are all in line with your recommendations, but I can’t seem to figure this out! Do you have any recommendations?

Hi @michael.victor02,

Thanks a lot for reaching out to us and using our plugin :hugs:

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the GUI uploader. I’ll do my best to get to the bottom of this!

Could you please send me a screen recording (using a tool like Loom.com) showing me the full settings of the GUI uploader, along with any actions you’ve set up? Also, include how you’re trying to upload a file and the information returned to the plugin. (Please also open the browser console, as there might be some errors that could help me understand why this is happening) This will allow me to recreate the issue and provide you with more accurate information

Hope to hear from you soon!

Best regards :sunflower:

Thanks Dorel! I’ve created a video but would prefer not to post it here publicly. Do you have an email address I can send it to?

Hey -

We are suddenly experiencing a similar issue - I can see that it works when I upload an image like a PNG but when I upload a PDF it does not work.

If I view the network logs - I get an “Uncaught (in promise) event” when I try to upload the pdf. I can see that it correctly got sent to the Amazon S3 bucket but it for some reason does not pass the URL back to me to use in Bubble.io

This is the workflow I want to trigger (It currently does not work with a pdf file but seems to work fine with a PNG)

@michael.victor02 - Did you end up getting this to work?

Hi @tczerny and @michael.victor02,

I truly appreciate your patience and understanding. I hope I can help you out

I’ve noticed this behavior myself on the latest version where we were trying to fix another unexpected issue. I’ve reported it to the developers, and they’ll provide a fix as soon as possible.

What I observed is that only images are successfully processed and uploaded to the bucket. Other files like MP3, PDF, XLSX, and so on, aren’t being uploaded sadly, returning the Uncaught error.

I sincerely apologize for this inconvenience as we are doing our best to fix it as soon as possible. We will inform you when an update is released!

Please let me know if you have any other questions I can help with :hugs:

@michael.victor02, you can still send me the screen recording by emailing support@zeroqode.com with the link from this conversation!

Best regards :hibiscus:
