AWS uploader element integration storage

Hi,

I tried to integrate AWS file uploader by downloading your plugin and following closely your guide. Once I informed the plugin about the identity pool id, region and bucket name. Unfortunately, after uploading a picture I can’t find the file uploaded and the S3 storage of AWS is still empty. Could you please support me in this action ?

The tasks I did are the following one:

  • Create an account
  • Create identity pool
  • Edit policy of the identity pool
  • Create a bucket
  • Edit the permissions section of the bucket as showed in the guide
  • Download the plug in and indicate the identity pool, bucket name and region

After the AWS account is set up you should set the plugin elements on your page. As guidance on how to do that you can use our live demo page of the plugin. Here you can find it.

Thanks for your reply, I already followed your demo but unfortunately I still have a problem, the file uploaded doesn’t reach the S3 Storage. Can I find a tutorial video somewhere ? or is Zeroquode provide consulting that I can pay to resolve this issue ?

Regarding your issue, could you please check if you have any errors in browser console when you upload the file?

Please try to open your browser console and provide a screenshot with the errors from there. That will help to identify the cause of the issue and find a solution.

Hi @alex.grimacovschi

I finally succeeded but I have a new issue, when I upload a video of more than 200MB, this one can’t play:


However, I updated the limit size to 5000MB. For the video of less than 1 MB , the video play successfully. Is that come from my amazon plan ?

Glad to hear that you managed to fix the previous issue.

There may be different causes of this issue, including from the AWS side. If it is not a problem for you please add support@zeroqode.com as collaborators to your app, and our team will investigate what is causing the issue. For checking, we also will need to know the name of your app and page where the plugin is used. Also, you may have a notification about limitation of your plan that doesn’t allow to add collaborators, please disregard it.

Besides that please let us know which browser and OS were used during the video uploading.

You can find the upload element in the app “MySlive”, the page “Home” and by opening the pop-up “Upload” in the element tree.

Our team checked the plugin in your app and the issue encountered by you seems to be caused by the limit of timeout. All the videos that aren’t opening don’t have URLs saved in the database. This means that the plugin didn’t have enough time and upload failed. Please try to extend the Max timeout (s) in order to ensure that the plugin has enough time for uploading.

I am really glad to hear that you found this conversation helpful.

In terms of making the plugin faster, I am afraid that I cannot suggest anything in this regard. It all depends on internet speed, your location, distance to the server, etc. Maybe you can try to use another server region? Again, I am not sure that this would have a significant impact on plugin speed.

I well understand, unfortunately I put the location which is the closest from me and I use cloudfront, that’s why I wonder why it is still long to download the video.
