Bug In Plugin (Loom Like Screen and Video Recorder)

Hi guys,

Thank you for making this plugin; it will be very useful in an application I’m building for a client.

However, I have noticed a bug while implementing that will be a showstopper for us to use it until it is resolved.

The bug is that if a user chooses to only record video (and not share their screen) the video is not saved successfully (either to bubble or locally) when the recording is stopped. There are no errors, including javascript errors, it simply fails silently.

When recording both camera and screen, it saves successfully. However, just like when using Loom, the user may choose just to record from their camera.

After discussing with our Development Team, it appears that the inability to save recordings when only the video is selected (without screen sharing) is due to a limitation in the library the plugin is built upon. Unfortunately, this functionality isn’t supported at the moment.

However, the good news is that the Development Team will review this idea and consider it for future updates as part of potential library improvements. We truly appreciate your feedback—it helps us identify areas for enhancement! :raised_hands:
