Is it possible to set the videos returned by CamCapture to “private” in the file manager?
Hey @cbray ,
Thank you for contacting us.
The Camera Capture and Video Recorder Plugin for Bubble does not provide a direct way to set videos as “private” within the plugin itself. However, you can achieve this by managing the privacy settings through Bubble’s built-in file management system.
Below I have provided some general tips that may help you with this:
- Upload to Bubble’s File Manager: When you capture the video, you can store it in Bubble’s file manager.
- Set Privacy Settings: Bubble allows you to set privacy rules for files within your app. In the Data tab, under the Privacy section, you can define rules that specify who can access certain files based on conditions (e.g., whether the user is logged in or has specific permissions).
- Use the “Make Private” Action: If you’re storing the videos in Bubble’s database or as files, you can use workflows to modify the file’s privacy settings. For example, you could create a workflow that changes the file’s privacy once it’s uploaded or captured.
By doing this, the video will only be accessible to users with appropriate permissions, ensuring it is private.
Have a nice day!!
Best Regards,
Anton
Thank you so much! That sounds like a good plan.
Hey @cbray ,
Thank you for your reply.
Glad to be helpful. Please feel free to reach us again when you need some help or assistance. It will be a pleasure to cooperate.
By the way, if you like our plugin you can rate it by going to the Plugins tab in Bubble editor. Find the plugin by name and give it as many stars as it deserves. We would appreciate it a lot!
