Camera Capture - Adding files to database

Is there an easy way to put videos from the ZQ Camera Capture Plugin into the database directly instead of just having them all appear in the File Manager?

Ideally, a user uses this plugin to take a video and it’s stored in a table associated with them and their company. Right now it looks like it’s just stored in the File Manager with all other video files and there’s 1) not a way to define where it goes 2) not a workflow to move it and 3) no easy way to get at the file manager to figure out where the video is.

Thank you!

Hi @cbray,

Unfortunately, it can’t be saved directly to the database, so the step with the file manager can’t be avoided. Here’s how you can achieve saving the video to the database:

  1. Save the Video: Enable file uploads in the plugin settings.

  2. Create a workflow with the action “When CamCapture video saving ended” to save the video URL to the database.

This way, the video will be saved in your database. I hope this helps!

Daniel

Thank you! That worked!
