Unfortunately, the copy with formatting feature doesn’t work as a native copy function like on computer devices. I’ve tried various setups, copying from the MarkdownParser element and pasting to the ModernRTE element, but not all formatting is correctly applied because of the differences in the markdown codes.
We’ve implemented this feature to work mostly with standard Rich Text Elements (RTEs), but the Markdown library works differently, causing these behaviors. Even when copying from our RTE element and ensuring all formatting is correctly copied, pasting into the MarkdownRTE didn’t apply most of the test cases, such as bold, italic, or strikethrough formatting.
Regrettably, I don’t believe it’s possible to achieve the use case you want in your application using our plugin. However, I can recommend checking if there are any other plugins available on the Bubble marketplace or creating a JavaScript function to copy the desired text with formatting.
