Date/time picker clearing after choosing a date

Recently installed this plugin and using it in single date mode, with auto-bind to parent element’s date.

When a date is selected, the date successfully auto-binds to the parent element’s date, however, it immediately triggers the bubble loading bar and clears the selection from the date picker. Selecting the same date again resolves this, but changing the date always clears the selection.

I’ve read other issues which sound similar, but haven’t been able to figure out a solution to this. I’ve also reverted to older versions of the plugin, with no luck, so I have a feeling I’m doing something wrong or missing something?

Update: updated to version 3.72, which stated “fixed value change trigger event” hoping it was referring to this issue, unfortunately I’m still experiencing the same problem. Any help?

Hello @alfred.salib,

Thank you for reaching out!

We have forwarded the details you’ve shared to our development team for review. As soon as we receive an update on the matter, we’ll be sure to keep you informed.

Can I help with anything during this time? Always happy to help :hugs:

Cheers :star2:

Hello @alfred.salib,

Could you please share with us the database configuration of the applied privacy rules? We have tested the autobinding feature on our page and it successfully showed the date after changing it.

Thank you for the collaboration!

Waiting for your reply :hugs:

Hi @dorel (apologies for the late response)

Sorry but I’m not sure what exactly you’re asking for

In the example I shared in my original post, the datepicker is in a “new plan” form. The parent element has a data type of plan, and the datepicker is autobinding to parent’s plan’s timestart.

Here’s a screenshot from the privacy tab in bubble showing the plan data type. Hopefully that’s what you’re asking for. Otherwise please let me know what you’d like to see.

Thanks!

Hello @alfred.salib,

Yes, in our previous conversation, I was talking about these permissions.

Could you grant permission to “everyone else” for auto-binding on the “timestart” field? Once you’ve made this adjustment, please let us know if the issue persists.

It’s worth mentioning that we conducted extensive testing and did not encounter this particular issue on our end.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to resolve this matter.

Wishing you a great day :hugs:

Thanks for your reply @dorel,

I just enabled auto-binding for everyone else, but the issue still persists. Very weird! Regardless, since this input is on the plan creation form, the user will always be the owner of the plan anyway. (For context: when you open the plan creation form in our app, we create an empty plan immediately, and inputs auto-bind to their respective data points).

Since submitting this, I’ve simply turned off auto-binding for the AirDatePicker inputs, and made the plan data pull from the input’s value when the form is submitted instead. Not ideal for our purposes, but the issue is gone :man_shrugging:

What’s puzzling is that before we started using this plugin, we were using Bubble’s native date/time picker plugin, with auto-binding, and it was working fine, so I don’t think the issue is with our data/permissions in bubble.

As far as this issue goes, I’m out of ideas. I’ve tried everything I can think of (including updating to the latest version, or even reverting back to past versions, of the plugin) but nothing seems to be working.
