Drag & Drop to Reorder RG - Blank

Hi everyone,
I’m having all kinds of trouble with getting the Drag & Drop to Reorder RG to just display anything and I’m hoping someone can help. I dragged out the Repeating Group and the Dragable RG. I gave the Repeating Group the ID Attribute = “Sort” and the Dragable RG’s Repeating Group ID = “Sort”. I preview the app and I have a blank white box for the Repeating Group. Thank you.

If your Repeating Group is blank, that might be due to several reasons, here are a few steps to consider to troubleshoot this issue with Bubble Repeating Groups:

  1. Check Data Source: Ensure that your Repeating Group (RG) is correctly connected to a data source. The RG needs to have a source of data to display. If it’s not set or if the data source is empty, it will appear as a blank box.
  2. Correct ID Attribute: Double-check that you have correctly set the ID Attribute for the RG. The ID Attribute should match exactly with the Repeating Group ID in the Dragable RG settings. Case sensitivity matters here.
  3. Plugin Configuration: Verify that you have properly installed and configured the Drag & Drop to Reorder RG plugin. Sometimes, missing a step in the setup can lead to such issues.
  4. Element Visibility: Make sure that the visibility conditions for the RG and Dragable RG are not accidentally set to hide the elements on page load.
  5. Check for Errors: Look for any error messages in Bubble’s editor or in the browser console when previewing the app. These can provide clues about what might be going wrong.
  6. Preview with Data: If your RG is set up with conditional visibility based on data, preview the app in a situation where the condition is met (i.e., there is data to display).
