Hi! I’ve recently purchased that amazing plugin “Drag & Drop to Reorder RG” for my app.
It works good and I can change the order of elements in a repeating group (RG) by dragging and dropping. BUT when I refresh the page, the order of of the elements is changed back to the default.
The question is: how to save the order of elements after dragging and dropping even after refreshing the page?
Thanks in advance to all the forum members and Zeroqode team!
Hello @sergeyauts, thank you for your message, and thanks for using our Drag & Drop to Reorder RG plugin
In order to save the order of the elements on the page after the refresh, you can check the option ‘Sorting Mode’ on our Demo page. To check the related actions and elements settings open the Editor page.
In the Workflows tab, you can find the action responsible for saving the order of the elements inside the repeating group. As well, you can check how the order of the elements is displayed in the Design tab through the plugin element.
Let me know if this helped, or if there is anything else I can assist you with.
Hi, Greg! Thank you for your detailed explanation! Looks like it works now. But sometimes the order of the elements doesn’t change after moving the items. Maybe some bubble issues.
Happy to help, @sergeyauts. I did not see this behaviour on our Demo page when testing your use case, though there is a chance that the order is not saved because of some Bubble issues.
Please make sure to document these instances, a screen record of your setup and how it behaves on the website. This will help us to check if the behaviour is because of Bubble performance, or something else.
Just made some test on the plugin’s Demo page to test if there is a delay when dragging the elements within databases or when selecting ‘sorting mode’. Unfortunately, I could reproduce the delay of almost 8 seconds when moving the elements. Please check this video recording for reference: insta
The issue with the delay on your side might be cause by the internet connection, please send me a screencast with how it looks on your side.
Got it, @leonardomedeiros
The delay you see after the page is loaded is because of the Bubble’s functionality. The delay happens because of the huge database from which the plugin retrieves the data. Unfortunately, there is nothing our Developers can add to improve the performance at the moment. We are aware of this issue and are looking for a solution that will do the trick.
