Dynamic Checkboxes not Updating?

Hey everybody - dealing with a challenge that has to do with the checkbox not updating even though it’s set to dynamic.

Simply put:

1. When I click a couple of checkboxes to select in a repeating group, it updates the custom state that is a list. If it’s already in the custom state, it’ll remove, if it’s not, it’ll add.
2. When I select all /de-select all options, the dynamic checkbox doesn’t update.

Does anybody know how to fix/reset/configure this dynamic checkbox when it comes to custom states in a repeating group?
