Dynamic Height Plugin

Hello,

I subscribed to the dynamic height plugin for my repeating group but it doesnt appear to work, is this a glitch on my end?

Hello, can you please post some screenshots of your plugin settings so we can help you troubleshoot?

No matter the settings it doesnt work for my repeating group. (EX: https://gyazo.com/a8a6be136735471e592b15605abda5c6 )

Could you show the dynamic height working on repeating group in the demo?

Hello @xnic519 ,

Unfortunately repeating groups are out of scope of this plugin. This plugin is mention to work with any element directly, while repeating groups has own behaviour, when it comes to height, and this is in collision with our plugin behaviour.
You can apply “vertical scrolling” for your repeating group (or “fixed number of cells”), so the repeating group will behave the way you need, but the inner elements will ignore the settings of the parent, so it won’t look so good.
We have settled the demo, to demonstrate week sides of such setup:

so it doesn’t work for repeating groups but does it work for groups?

It works for groups and it works for repeating groups which have fixed height, it won’t work with repeating groups that have dynamic height (like vertical scrolling or extended scrolling etc.)

I just subscribed the Dynamic Height & Width plugin.
I wonder if this works on Horizontal Scrolling of the repeating group.
It seems not working with this case.
I wanted to have 100% width of viewport. This is my settings and the result.

Hi @rio!
We have just tested the plugin with the horizontal scrolling of the repeating group and it works perfectly fine.
Could you check please, are the page settings set to fullwidth?

Olga

Hey, thanks @olga.medvedeva

My bad, actually it worked perfectly good!
I did not place the plugin element in the repeating group.
That is the only reason it did not work…

Now, I switch to purchase plan!!

Thanks for the feedback!

If you like our plugin you can rate it by going to Plugins tab in Bubble editor. Find the plugin by name and give it as many stars as it deserves  The more feedback we get, the more motivated we are to make things better in Bubble.

Kind regards,

Hello,

I am using the dynamic height plugin in conjunction with the reverse repeating group plugin from you guys in order to make a vertical scrolling repeating group for a phone app that will allow the repeating group size to span the viewport of the phone display and allow the user to scroll up, similar to whats app or sms or any other type of messenger.

Is there any way you guys can allow this plugin to stretch repeating groups that are vertically scrollable so that it fills the viewport of the display of the user on a mobile device?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Hello,

Following up on the above, thanks!

Best,
Jonathan

Hello, @jonathan!
Apologies for the delayed reply.

Yes, of course, it is possible to stretch Repeating Groups, that are vertically scrollable, to make them fill the viewport of the display of the user on a mobile device. The plugin’s set up is the same as usual.

  1. place the plugins elements into your RepeatingGroup: http://prntscr.com/ryi9zg
  2. set the Dynamic Height plugin’s settings as usual: http://prntscr.com/ryialn
  3. set the Reverse Repeating group plugin’s settings as usual: http://prntscr.com/ryibnr
  4. set the Responsive settings http://prntscr.com/ryies4

It looks fine on Android-10 Chrome: http://prntscr.com/ryijij

I hope my reply was helpful. Can you please check and confirm?

Hi @kate,

Thanks for your reply I appreciate it and sincere apologies on not getting back to you. At the moment I did a little bit of a workaround but I will get back to this if needed and let you know!

I am having the same issue as above. I applied the fix but it is not allowing me to scroll once the height is resized. If I play with the settings, I can get it to resize properly but then it doesn’t allow any scroll and most of the repeating group elements are not loaded. The only way to fix this is by allowing more rows in the repeating group, but this squishes everything together.

Hi @senorcodecat,

Would you please be so kind to share a screenshot/screencast with your issue, so we can see it and try to replicate on our side. It will help a lot to share your app setups and plugin element setups, as well as browser and OS version you are using to develop your app. This way we can have a much better troubleshooting then come back with feedback asap.

Best,
Alex
