Error message with Google embedder

Hi @alexandru and community!

We’re currently using Zeroqode’s Google Docs embedder plugin on our Bubble app.
We’re experiencing multiple troubles loading Google Docs on Chrome : Chrome displays the error message you can see on the attached screenshot, probably due to the following error :
Refused to display ‘https://docs.google.com/’ in a frame because it set ‘X-Frame-Options’ to ‘sameorigin’.

It seems that the problem is related to Zeroqode’s plugin configuration
Could you please look into this? This issue is a real pain for our users
Many thanks :slight_smile:

Hello, @PantoGraph
Thanks for using our plugin.

We suppose that your issue is reproduced for the reason of using the link to the https://docs.google.com/, but not the separate file, which can be embedded by your application.

In simple words, Google Embedder can’t embed Google Docs, in a general sense, because their origin is the same.

When you are working with spreadsheets, please go to File - > Publish to the web and then use the ID of the document from the link that you will obtain if you want to display sheets in the embedder. For Edit sheet mode please use the sheet ID from the regular URL.

Hope it will help you.
Best regards,

Hi @Ecaterina,

Thanks for your quick reply!

We’re experiencing the issue despite using the Google Doc ID (and not the URL) [this occurs on Google Chrome]

Please find below the links and screenshots to have a look at it:

Here’s the Google Doc URL should you need it: Google Doc Zeroqode - Google Documenten

Hello, @PantoGraph
Thanks for the detailed information.

We will check all of it and will revert with a solution for you ASAP.

Best regards,

Hello, @PantoGraph
Sorry for my late reply.

We assume that the error is produced due to missing access rights to the document.
There are two methods of displaying :

  1. Creating an access link (read, edit) with your ID;
  2. Publish a document on the network (read-only) with one’s ID;

Both are configured directly in the document in your Google Drive. That’s why allow us to advise you the following: check the method of displaying the document (link or publication), the correctness of the ID, and the access rights to the document.

Please find our screenshots:

Please check all these points and let me know if everything is working now.
Regards,
