File Converter - Binary or Base64 Plugin

Hi,

I bought your plugin " File Converter - Binary or Base64 Plugin" 2 days ago. I see it only works sometimes, which makes me wonder if I’m doing something wrong or is the plugin buggy.

A user uploads a pdf through the FileUploader and I need the base64 string recorded in a text field.

I notice that this only works some of the times, this process runs when a user clicks on a button, and sometimes the user needs to click twice for it to actually work (which is unreliable).

I’ve tried everything and I can’t get it to work consistently. I reproduce the same test and some of them work, some of them don’t! This is very frustrating!

Here’s a loom if this helps!

Thanks in advance!

Hello @pedrocdo9599,

Thanks for reaching out to us, I have replied to your over email and will write here as well, please feel free to respond where it is more confortable for you.

Regarding your concern, I’ve looked into it further and it seems there’s a discrepancy in how Bubble is saving the file. If you go through the process step-by-step, it should be visible but it won’t be saved. For your use case, could you please try saving base64 files in the “Converting is finished” event in your workflow and not in the same workflow where the encoding is happening? And let me know if that works for you.

Additionally, could you try saving the data in a single text field rather than a bubble list of texts? Given the large base64 text, it may be causing issues on Bubble’s side.

Thanks, and I look forward to your reply.
