Free OCR Service doesn't work with mobile pics

Hi all,

I’m trying to use this OCR plugin
(https://bubble.io/plugin/free-ocr-service-1496069201666x801730957076594700)

And it works great as long as I test it with pictures from my desktop.
But if I use my iPhone, it doesn’t return anything and I get the error

x11:6 Cannot read property ‘length’ of undefined
at Object.eval [as success] (PLUGIN_Free-OCR-Service-element_action–OCR-Service-Get-Text–Extract-Text-.js:3:311)

Any suggestions? Format issues? Or size / dimensions?

Thanks!

Figured out this has to do with size. Still have no idea what the limit is, but decreasing the size makes it work.

Hi @JTT

Thanks for reaching out.

We have tested the plugin functionality on mobile devices and it works well.

Regarding your issue, allow me to recommend one thing that might help:

  • Please check the format of the picture (link) which you tried to test, maybe the problem is in it.

Also, within the limitations of the OCR service that we know - there is no limit applied to the format/parameters of the converted image. Free OCR API

We would be able to help you more if you will provide us more details (namely, step by steps error reproduction of the error and its presence in the debugger and browser console).
That will allow us to provide you additional support.
