Fuzzy Search and constraints

Hey guys, love the fuzzy search plugin. I’ve run in to a bit of a bug with the plugin. I use the search input with filters (custom dropdowns). The search works great but after you’ve done the search, it looks like it won’t interact with constraints if you then go and use a filter. Example. so if I search for a user that is a Barista, I then filter down using a location for a city I’m interested in. The results don’t change. Work around is I can set the filter/constraint such as the city first and then do a fuzzy search for Barista to get Baristas from that city. Here’s a small screenshot of my search box with filters. FYI - I had Greg over at Buildcamp have a look at my set up and he confirmed that it was a bug and it wasn’t just me!

For now, I’ve gone back to using the standard Bubble search which is horrendously slow.

This was my set up with Fuzzy.

Hello, @zulualphaweb

Thank you for using our plugin. We have tested the plugin, using your settings - there is no issue on our side, Fuzzy search works even with static and dynamic filters.

Please take a look at my workable test plugin setup:

Could you please tell me what is the variable “student” that you are using in the plugin element’s data source filter? We were not able to recreate it without the info. Perhaps the reason why the plugin refuses to work on your side might be in it.

If the suggested steps will not correct the situation, could you please add our Support team email to the list of collaborators to your application? This will allow us to check your settings and run some tests and verify the browser console to fix the mentioned problem.

To add our Support Team as a collaborator, you need to do the following steps in the Bubble Editor:
Settings > Collaboration > Add email support@zeroqode.com

Hope it will help you.
BR,

Hey, I am running into the same issue. I am trying to constrain my search but the constrains are not acting dynamically. they only work if I first enter constraints on my filter and then enter text into the input bar. If there is existing text in the input bar and I add constraints to my filter the search results will not update. I added you as an editor.

I found a workaround to this. I set the source of my repeating group to matchs from the ZQ search and auto-complete widget. Then, instead of containing the search, I filtered the results in the repeating group. It is more computationally expensive but it works for my purposes.
