FuzzySearch Bug - Input not linking

Hello! I have everything set up correctly, check with videos, documentations and even forums, however, for some reason the search&autocorrect is not grabbing the input’s value.

  • The id field is the same for both, the input and the autocorrect.
  • The search & autocorrect is visible and is within the same group as the input.
You can see it on the screenshots below:
Any ideas of what is possibly going wrong?

Hello @canodjan3,
Sorry for the late reply due to the weekend. :pray:t2:

I’m afraid that we can not reproduce or investigate this issue without more info. Please attach all the necessary info like:

  • screenshot where we can see the data type of the information, you are searching for
  • the screenshot of your repeating group
  • video recording of settings, and your whole setup (for the screencast recording, I can suggest using the Loom tool)

This will help us to understand what might be the issue and provide a solution as soon as possible.

Looking forward to your reply. :slightly_smiling_face:

Regards,
Gulce

Don´t worry! Really appreciate your response, here it is the info requested.

Hope that this is helpful, please let me know if you need anything else. Again, really appreciate it.

@canodjan3 thank you so much for the details. :pray:t2:

Due to the fact that we have some additional questions regarding your settings, can you please add our Support Team email to the list of collaborators to your application and provide me a link to your application? This will allow me to check your whole settings, and run some tests. :slightly_smiling_face:

To add our Support Team as a collaborator, you need to do the following steps in the Bubble Editor:

Settings > Collaboration > Add email support@zeroqode.com

Hope to hear from you soon.

Best,
Gulce

I have already added you to collaborate!

Thank you for providing access :slightly_smiling_face: @canodjan3

Let me check what might be the issue, as soon as the investigation is completed, I’ll get back to you.

Have a nice day!

Hello @canodjan3,
Thank you for your patience!

We’ve finished the investigation and here is the result:

The behavior of the plugin was related to the placement of the plugin element and input. Unfortunately, some cases may occur and affect the plugin functionality due to the placement of other elements in the same group. In this case, I suppose the other inputs in the same placement as Search&Autocorrect triggered this behavior.

On our test page (zq_test), we’ve changed Search&Autocorrect and input placement to make sure other elements didn’t affect it and after these changes, everything works properly. So, I’m afraid you’ll need to adjust the design for the plugin to work on your page. Please check our test page and let me know if I can help you with anything else. :pray:t2:

Regards,
Gulce

Ok! Thank you for your hard work and efficient communication, I`ll check it out. Thanks

Always welcome :slightly_smiling_face: @canodjan3

Please feel free to reach me again when you need some help or assistance. It will be a pleasure to cooperate.

Have a nice day!

Hello! Sorry to bother again, I added new elements since the past revision and implemented the one you did, however, it doesn’t work (I believe it is because of the new elements) could you take a look again?
I promise this is the last time haha

Hello @canodjan3,
Thank you for your message. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ve checked your page and our test page in your app. As a result, the only difference is the placement of the elements we use for the search. Unfortunately, your page has many elements that can affect the plugin’s behavior (e.g. other inputs) in the same group as the input, plugin element, and repeating group. Screenshot by Lightshot

As you can see on our test page, there are no other inputs or elements behind them which can affect the behavior. So, you can use them in the same group but not exactly in the same placement. In this case, you need to change the design of the page a little bit, unfortunately.

Also, please do not forget to set RG to be visible when the input value is not empty. Screenshot by Lightshot

Have a nice weekend ahead!

Best,
Gulce

Yes, I did exactly that but still not working
The search&autocorrect blurred values (not visible) are the ones you have on your page, my display is for the dark visible elements

Hello @canodjan3,
Please accept my apologies for the late reply due to the weekend. :pray:t2:

I’ve checked it once again and the problem was related to the input element which is not visible on the page load. I’ve just created a new copy of your page and the only change that I made was the input condition. Here:

As you can see, the input is visible on the page load but I use a condition to make it invisible. And, everything works well after these changes.

Please check our new test page (zq_test2) and change this condition on your page, this time it should work. :slightly_smiling_face:

Gulce

Hello! I am finding a similar issue within a new app… I know this may be because of the placing due to what has happened before, also, I made the groups initially visible as stated before but still not working.
Could you help me out with this one please? This is the link to the editor and the page is “chat_reusable” Copious.Land | Bubble Editor @Gulce

Hello @canodjan3,
Apologies for the late reply.

Could you please send me a video recording showing the issue? Like what page are you using “chat _reusable” on and a step-by-step guide for testing this behavior? This will allow us to run some tests to fix the mentioned problem.

Thank you! Looking forward to your reply.

Best,
Gulce

Yes of course, I have these 2 cases:
1.- Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording Software | Loom
2.- Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording Software | Loom
Thank you for your help!

Hi @canodjan3,
Thank you for the details!

Please let me check your application. I will need some time to investigate the issue you are having and I will get back to you as soon as I have any updates.

Best,
Gulce

Sure! I’ll be pending. Thank you!

Hi @canodjan3,
Thank you for your patience!

The issue was with the “set text to match from an input box” field which was not enabled. We fixed it on the relevant pages and now everything seems working well. Please check it on your end and let me know how it’s going.

Best,
Gulce

YES, that was it, gosh I feel so dumb right now but I will never forget about this haha appreciate your continuous help and patience! Have a great day!
