FYI for ZQ Team: Bug with AWS File upoader - Any size Plugin

Hello,

This is an FYI for the ZQ team and community regarding a bug in the AWS File uploader plugin. This bug can be worked around, if you know how to do so.

The bug: For the file uploader element, if the element is hidden and then shown again, it no longer appears on screen and cannot be used. This includes if the element is inside a group or popup that is shown and hidden. This bug isn’t fixed by using the reset action, and occurs on both responsive engine types.

The catch and workaround: This bug only occurs if the element doesn’t have a border (or has a border of non-zero width). If you add a border, it works properly.

I have a test page demonstrating this issue which I can share with the Zeroqode team privately, if you reach out (I cannot share publicly due to it being tied to a proprietary app).

Hello @austin,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

It would be helpful if you could send us a direct message here on the forum with the URL of the page where you have recreated the issue. We’re currently implementing significant updates to the AWS plugin, especially concerning the GUI element, and I’ll be sure to monitor for the behavior you’ve mentioned.

Could you please confirm that you’re utilizing the GUI element from our plugin and specify the version where this issue arose?

I’ll do everything within my power to ensure this issue is addressed in upcoming updates. Looking forward to your response

Have a fantastic day :hibiscus:

Hey @austin,

We have recently rolled out a new update for the AWS File Uploader plugin - version 1.165.0. This update brings significant modifications to the GUI element. After testing in the new version, I couldn’t replicate the issue anymore.

Could you please update the plugin to the latest version and see if the issue persists? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers :hibiscus:
