Google Drive Plugin > Duplicate files and folder after move

Hi,

Thanks for the plugin, it is very usefull, but I’m stuck on an issue

When I move a file in a folder, it duplicates the file

So at the beginning, I got this :

Google Drive Root > my_file

Then I do “Google Drive - Add File to Folder” with fileId and folderId

Result is :

Google Drive Root > my_file
and
Google Drive Root > my_folder > my_file

Is there a way to remove the origin my_file ?

Thanks for your help

Hi @dufour.chri,

Thanks for using our products. I’m afraid this plugin is working as intended with this action. It is not actually moving a file, it will just add any file you are inserting as fiIeId into a folder with folderId. However, if you are willing to remove the original one, you can use the ‘Delete File’ or ‘Remove File From Folder’ actions, as a workaround. You can find more information here https://docs.zeroqode.com/plugins/google-drive-plugin.

Hope it helps. Thank you for understanding.

Best,
Alex

Thanks for you response

I tested Delete File but it also delete the original file. And when we do Remove File From Folder, as it’s in the root, we don’t have Folder

But finally, it works when doing File’parents’id

So good! Thank you for your help
