Google Embedder Responsiveness

Hello! I am trying to get my Google Embedded document to respond to the size of the window. However, it seems like the iframe embedded inside of the embedder element is fixed to the original width and height of the embed element. Is it possible to add an option to set the height and width of the embedded iframe to 100%? Here is a screen shot of the issue:

The iframe’s height is fixed at 640 and the width at 509 and I want it to adjust based on the div containing it.

Hello, @gbenchanoch!

Thank you for bringing our attention to this issue. Our developers are notified about it and we will inform you straight away when it will be fixed.

Best regards.

Thank you so much for the help! There is one more issue that has come up. For some reason, when loading a document in edit mode, there are a couple issues:

  1. Sometimes it just doesn’t load
  2. Sometimes it loads but the cursor is clocking at a vertical offset. What I mean is that I try to click on the first line of the document but it clicks about 5 lines lower instead as if the cursor in the iframe is offset vertically buy about 400 px.

EDIT: After a bit of tinkering, it seems that showing and then hiding the google embed function is causing it to format improperly. If you change the zoom, it corrects itself, but this is a weird bug.

EDIT 2: This bug is not an issue when using a conditional to show/hide based on state rather than a workflow to show/hide or to animate. Being able to animate the embedder into the page would be great!

Hello there, @gbenchanoch!

Sure! We considered your feedback and right now our developers are working on a solution. We will notify you when the plugin will be updated.

After a couple of trials, it did not reproduce on our side. In this case, kindly provide detailed screenshots of each step. The best option will be making a screencast, using Loom.

Here there is no issue with the plugin itself. It is how the scrolling mode works. First, it brings the page to the chosen point outside of the iframe and after a second click, it jumps to the element itself inside of the iframe.

We recreated your case and were not able to reproduce the issues you are seeing. In order to have a better understanding of your concern, kindly describe your steps and provide detailed workflow screenshots or a screencast.

Best Regards.

Hello again, @gbenchanoch !

We are happy to let you know, that, considering your query about setting up the height and width of the embedded iframe to 100%, we’ve implemented a new action ‘‘Full-screen mode’’.

In order to apply this action, kindly update the plugin to the newest version. After doing so, try out the new feature and let us know, how did it go and if you are happy with the result.

Best regards,
Elena.
