Google Map Extender plugin

Hi,

I juste bought this plugin, and any workflow seems to work …

When I try to center the map (even with a page loading, or a pause like 2000 ms), I have this error :
The plugin Bubble’s Google Map Extender / action Center Map to a Map Extender threw the following error: anonymous@

I have the same issue to add markers on it.

My map is open for list of marker, the ID is map1 for the map extender and the map. I tried to center with adresse’s of my data bases, but also with numbers, and I get to this point anyway…

Can someone help me please, I just paid for nothing

Hi @paul.larue29

Thanks for reaching out and for providing the details.

Based on your description, it seems that the error is occurring when trying to center the map or add markers. This could be due to a few different reasons, so let’s try to troubleshoot it step by step:

:one: Map ID Configuration

First, ensure that the Map ID is correctly set in both the plugin settings and the workflow action. The ID should match the one in the Map Extender element on your page (e.g., map1 in your case).

:two: Coordinates Format

For centering and adding markers, make sure you’re passing valid latitude and longitude values. If you are trying to use an address, ensure that it’s properly formatted (e.g., "Address, City, Country"). You can also try manually entering numeric coordinates (latitude and longitude) to verify that the issue isn’t related to address formatting.

:three: Wait Action / Delay

It’s great that you’ve tried adding a delay (e.g., 2000 ms). Sometimes, it might be necessary to give the map more time to load before trying to trigger the center or marker actions. Try increasing the delay a bit to see if that helps, or add a “when map is loaded” condition before attempting the action.

:four: Console Errors

If you’re still receiving the error, could you check the browser console (using developer tools) for any specific messages? This might provide more context as to why the action is failing.

Would you mind sharing a few more details on your setup? Specifically:

  • A screenshot of your workflow configuration (particularly the action to center the map).
  • Plugin set-up

Looking forward to your reply

Hi @paul.larue29 ,

I wanted to follow up and see if you had a chance to review my previous message regarding the Map Extender issue. Let me know if you need any further clarification or if you were able to test any of the suggested troubleshooting steps.

If you’re still experiencing the issue, sharing a screenshot of your workflow configuration and plugin setup would help us better understand the problem.

Looking forward to your update.

Hi and thank you for your answers,

First, every step you describe is done. The Map ID configuration is ok, the coordinates format is ok (I use a Google API, and i tried to use manual coordinates), moreover, even with a 10 seconds delay, it doesn’t work, and the action “when map is loaded” doesn’t works. Let me show you my workflow and the console error :

When I try to center to the map, the error is the same. To start the action, I used : “when map is loaded”, “when map is visible” (like on the screenshot) and also after I click on a button with a 5000ms delay.

Thanks

Hi @paul.larue29,

Thanks for your patience!

We’ve just double-checked our demo page, and everything is working as expected—we weren’t able to replicate the issue.

Could you please test your setup on the demo page to see if the same issue occurs? If the demo works fine, then the problem might be related to your specific app configuration.

Additionally, please review our plugin documentation to ensure everything is set up correctly for successful integration.

:hammer_and_wrench: Additional Debugging Steps to Try:

:one: Test Without the Map Extender – Try using a standard Google Map element and manually add a marker to see if the base map functions correctly.
:two: Check API Key Permissions – Ensure your Google Maps API key has the necessary permissions enabled (Maps JavaScript API, Geocoding API, Places API).
:three: Try Different Data Inputs – Use static coordinates (e.g., 48.8566, 2.3522 for Paris) instead of dynamic data to see if the issue is data-related.
:four: Test in a Different Browser/Incognito Mode – To rule out caching or browser-specific issues.
:five: Console Errors – If you see additional error details in the browser console, please share them—they might help pinpoint the problem.

Looking forward to your reply
