Having trouble with countable

Hi - I’ve just installed countable and clearly I’m doing something wrong but I don’t know what.
I have my ID attribute set on my multiline input, entered in my ID (in countable). Then I call Countable A’s words. Nothing shows up when I enter text into the multiline input. What am I missing?

Thanks.

Hi,
please use this documentation https://docs.zeroqode.com/plugins/thecountable-plugin
and this demo page: https://redubleplugins.bubbleapps.io/thecountable
to see how it should be working

Thanks for the reply, Levon. I understand how it’s supposed to work. I looked at the demo before asking the question - it’s a very straight forward set up. Yet, it is not working…

Is there perhaps a known conflict with the plugin Document Reader and Word Counter? Because it seems like it stopped working after that was installed and added to the workflow.

we haven’t received such reports but if you noticed that it started happening after installing that plugin, it would be worth to try removing that other plugin and try again to narrow down the list of possible causes.
Thanks

I finally figured it out. When the multiline input is NOT visible on page load, and then it is called to show after a certain action, then countable doesn’t work. It doesn’t recognize that there’s any text in the multiline input. The way I got around it was to hide the multiline input behind a shape which then disappears on click revealing the multiline input.

I hope this saves someone time in the future.
