Having Trouble with Google Maps Extender Route Optimization

Hi there,

When I attempt to optimize my route here: https://travelplanner.jasminealley.com/any_location

the map extender doesn’t provide an optimized route, but instead shows Turkey. My workflows are valid and I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work.

Can you take a look?

You may be wondering why I’m using both the MapBox plugin and the Google Maps extender plugin.

I’ve created a spreadsheet showing all the features I need and how neither of the map plugins offers it all (so I have to use both).

Hello, @harrisonalley. Thanks for reaching out.

I’ve tested your page and see the issue. Indeed, there is no proper result for the “Optimize Route” button.
We will investigate the reason for it and I will get back to you with the result and suggestions when there be any useful info for you.

I think I’ve fixed your issue. I have created a test page “zq_test_route”. The things I’ve done:

  • compared your Add Directions MapExtender A action properties with our demo page, and changed your values in accordance to our demo page;
  • added Event “When the page is loaded” - do a pause before the next action.

Suggestion: re-check the workable examples on the plugin demo page, add a pause when the page is loaded :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for your response @kate.

I need to have the option to use multiple waypoints from the database.

I’ve added that functionality to your page (it’s the only change I made). And it no longer works.

Could you take another look?
