Hide pins (or specify images for pins) for directions

This is related to the maps extender plugin: Bubble’s Google Map Extender Plugin for Bubble | Zeroqode

I notice that when I use the “Add directions to a map extender” workflow action, there are automatically generated “red default” pins for each location in the directions.

Is there a way to either A) Hide the pins (so only the line that represents the route remains) or B) specify the images for the pins to use instead of the “red default” ones?

I tried to work around this by specifying two map pins and using the existing “set image” functionality in addition to the “Add directions” action, but unfortunately there is a race condition which means that sometimes the “default red” pins overlay on top of my custom images, as seen here:

Hello, @rory.fairwea.
Apologies for the delay in responding to your inquiry.

Regarding your question, it is not possible to customize the initial/destination or waypoints indicators in the “Add Directions MapExtender A” action. Unfortunately, the standard red pin marker cannot be changed.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. Thank you.

Hey Kate, thanks for the reply.

When do you expect to support this?

A free bubble maps plugin alternative exists which DOES include the ability to hide the markers as a part of the directions event. Google Maps Extended Plugin | Bubble

You can see their demo here: https://upstarters-showcase.bubbleapps.io/version-test/plugin-google-maps-ext?debug_mode=true#:~:text=a%20map%20error-,Directions,-From%20Location

So this is clearly possible, please let me know where this is on your backlog.

Thanks,
Rory
