Hi all,
I’ve just installed zeroqode Hotjar Plugin, I typed the Site ID at the specified input, but nothing happened. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for reaching out and using our products. After purchase, you need to configure it in your Plugins Tab with appropriate Hotjar Site ID (header) for both live and test modes. After getting your site ID here https://www.hotjar.com/r/r52c524, you can trigger a recording or tag a recording. The plugin comes with two actions that you can use with Plus Plan only.

You can view recorded events on your website, record heat maps, issue web polls, surveys etc.

Each site you add to your Hotjar account, will have its own unique Tracking Code to install.

For some reason this does not seem to work… should I put just the Hotjar ID number or the entire code? Nothing shows up for me when I load the page…

Thanks for asking. Yes, it is just required to fill in the HotJar Site ID. You can get a free one here https://www.hotjar.com/r/r52c524 and give it a try again.

At the moment, this plugin simply adds the HotJar sinppet to the app header thus triggering HotJar. It’s not possible to do that upon a workflow, unfortunately. Which is why it is not implementing a plugin element. But it does come with 2 actions that you are able to use on a Plus Plan only.

So I did just that, adding the Hotjar ID number to the plugin settings, but it just doesn’t seem to work… the Hotjar tag never appears on my page and when checking the Console/Network no calls to HotJar are made… Any ideas?

Hi @fernando,

Thanks for feedback. This plugin seems to be easy at first glance, but might be confusing when testing. It will capture and create a Hotmap where you can see it in your account dashboard. It has to be a Header script which initiates Hotjar. With our plugin, it is accomplished by using the Record action, as an example, and you can set it on page load to start filming. But it would be only possible under Plus Plan only.

I understand, thank you… but I was actually just using it for the Feedback widget (the tag that shows on the right or left side of the page). That one never shows up…

Hi @fernando,

Sorry but it is not possible to accomplish with our plugin’s features per se, because it is not implementing the Feedback Widget. Our plugin is a simple script that initiates in Header for page recording.

However, if you are willing to have the Feedback Widget, you are able to implement it at your own discretion, because it is a free plugin and you should be able to customize it on your side.

Thanks for reaching out. Sure, since there are no Bubble plugins that would implement the Feedback Widget API, the only workaround solution would be building your own calls by using the API Connector plugin and the Hotjar Feedback Widget.
