I wanted to upload multiple files and folders, but it seems i cannot upload folders. Is there any way to achieve that?
Hello, @jakub.neukirch
Thanks for reaching out with your request.
Please allow me to mention that unfortunately, you can not upload a Folder with the AWS file uploader to your bucket.
As for multiple files, you can easily upload them with the “Many files” checkbox:
Sorry for this inconvenience.
Best regards,
What I wanted to do is to allow uploading directory with its subdirectiories and files contained in it
Hello, @jakub.neukirch
I regret, but this option is not available within this plugin.
As was mentioned before, you can upload the list of the files, but not the folders with their sub-folders or the content.
Best regards,
thought id jsut add something. Depending on how you need to access your data, you could upload it as a zip file, that way example if clients need to download it and keep the same folder format, when they extract it it will be in same sub directories and such.
But that may not be helpful if you need get individual parts from it while its in aws s3, as you’d need to download whole thing first and extract.
thats how I done it. Upload zip - unzip it with AWS Lambda
Hello, @jakub.neukirch @haydos99
Thanks for describing your workaround here.
However, please allow me to note that using our AWS file uploader plugin you can upload a ZIP File, I’m afraid.
But unfortunately, this file will not be read correctly by the platform itself and could reproduce some errors.
Please note that we will take into consideration the ability to add required functionality to this plugin for future updates.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Best regards,
