How to Conditionally Style Table Cells in PDF Conjurer?

Hi everyone,

I’ve already built this PDF layout using the free version of PDF Conjurer. What I’m trying to do now is style a specific column’s body cells — in this case, the “Farba pásky” (wristband color) column.

I want to automatically style the cells based on their values:

  • If the value is “Čierna”, the cell background should be black with white text.
  • If the value is “Biela”, it should remain default styling (white background with black text).

Is there a way to do this using the free version of PDF Conjurer? Or do I need to use the paid version, or a different plugin to achieve this?

Thanks in advance!

Hello asuranaabb,

Thank you for reaching out!

I reviewed the documentation for both the Free version and the Paid version (Pro) of this plugin, and unfortunately, the functionality to dynamically edit the style of a single cell based on its content is not present in either version.

While PDF Conjurer Pro offers more flexibility in applying different (custom) styles to columns, it cannot dynamically change the style of an individual cell based on its value.

Please let me know if there’s anything else I can assist you with.

Hi @egor.smorodinov ,

Thanks for clarifying. If the Pro version can at least apply a fixed style (e.g., black background + white text) to an entire column — even if it can’t be dynamic — please confirm and share the exact steps or a screenshot of how to do it.

I tried the Preview in Bubble Editor for the Pro version but could only see options to style the header row, not the body cells of a specific column. If the feature exists, I’m ready to purchase/subscribe, but I’d like to confirm the process first.

Thanks again for your help!

Best regards,
Deva

Hello Deva_B,

To conditionally style table cells in the PDF Conjurer Pro plugin, follow these steps using workflow actions and custom styles:

  1. Set Up Custom Body Style:
First, create a custom body style using the Define new style workflow action. This will allow you to define the styles (such as colors, fonts, etc.) that you want to apply conditionally to your table cells.
  2. Add Columns to Your Table:
Once your body style is set, you can add a column to your table by using the Add Column to an advanced Table workflow action. When adding this column, you can reference the custom body style you created in the previous step. You can find more information on how to set this up in the documentation here:
Custom Table Styling and Adding Columns in PDF Conjurer Pro

Tip: You can set up conditional logic in your workflow that will add columns with custom styles based on the output of your data. This allows you to dynamically adjust your table appearance according to the data displayed.

Let me know if you need further clarification or assistance!
