In-app browser for air native

Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way to use the in-app browser using air native plugin. I remember seeing this feature but can’t find it (or maybe it wasn’t there)

I’ve tried other methods such as open external in a new tab, but as expected it wouldn’t work. I needed this feature to implement custom OAuth login that opens a popup.

Looking forward to your help.

Hi @Arifi,

Thank you for your message and interest in our products.

The in-app browser is built into wrapped apps when using the Air Native service. The Air Native service enables you to convert your Bubble app into iOS and Android apps. By default, all external links open in the in-app browser, but you also have the option to specify to our team if you prefer all links to open in the device’s default external browser.

You can find more information about the Air Native service here: Air Native Service Documentation

And details about the Air Native plugin here: Air Native Plugin Documentation

Note: The Air Native Plugin allows you to implement native features within your Bubble editor, but converting the Bubble app into native Android and iOS apps requires the Air Native service.

Feel free to reach out if you have additional questions.

Do I need to request a rebuild if I want to specify all external links open in default ios browser?
Also, does doing so would interfere with deeplinks from functioning properly (i set url parameters)?

Currently i open a deep link from safari and set the url parameters and inside the app workflow i check if url parameters exists… i don’t use it for navigation within the app

I guess is it possible if we have the option in air native plugin to choose where the links open?

Sorry Igor I may have confused with in-app browser or webview.

What I was looking for is this browser popup in the wrapped app. Attached a reference.

Hi @Arifi,

Thank you for your response.

By default, all URLs open in the in-app browser. If you’d like, we can modify this setting so that all URLs open in the device’s default external browser. This change can be included in a new rebuild.

To request a rebuild, please go to your Zeroqode Profile → Air Native tab → Edit. Review all the app details you submitted previously to ensure everything is accurate, then click on Rebuild.

As for deep links, I can’t say for certain if this modification will have any effect on them. The best approach would be to implement the change and test it.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out.
