Issue with Misformatted PDF Conversions in Bubble PDF to PDF Converter Plugin

Hello, my name is Felipe. I am a subscriber of your Bubble plugin “BUBBLE PDF TO PDF CONVERTER,” but since yesterday (06/20/2023), the PDF conversions have been coming out misformatted. I thought it might be some adjustment on my pages, so I spent hours making adjustments. Funny thing is, when I update my app and click on “Deploy to live” and refresh the page I need to convert to PDF, the conversion is perfect. But when I leave the page and come back again, the PDF conversion goes back to being misformatted. What can I do? Is any other user also experiencing the same issue as mine?

Hello @br.felipesantanna
Thanks for reaching out.

Could you please share a video recording showing the issue and your setup? Unfortunately, we do not encounter any alike issues with the plugin and its demo page. We were not receiving any alike complaints. So, this would be very helpful in reproducing the issue on our end and finding a solution for you.

Looking forward to your reply.

Best regards,
Gulce

Hello, below is the link on the google drive of the video capturing my screen. As you can see, when I click to generate the PDF, the file is being unformatted. But when I leave the page and come back to it again, the print works perfectly.

And here attached are the settings I used in the plugin.

Hi @br.felipesantanna,
Thanks for the details.

If you want to use the a4 format, please leave the “custom format” field empty and uncheck the “calculate from custom format” field.

By doing this, the plugin will automatically use the A4 page size as the default format for your document.

However, if you prefer to use a custom format instead of A4, please make sure to set the “Format” field to “Custom Format” and provide the specific dimensions you require. And in this case, you can enable the calculate from custom format field.

In case the issue persists, can you please add our Support Team email to the list of collaborators to your application? Please also mention how I can reproduce the issue in your app. Like which user credentials I can use, what steps I need to take to generate the PDF, etc. (here or via DM)

To add our Support Team as a collaborator, you need to do the following steps in the Bubble Editor:

Settings > Collaboration > Add email support@zeroqode.com

Note: avoid the warning message regarding the plan, as we are an agency and you can easily add us to your collaborators.

Looking to hear you soon.

Best,
Gulce

Hi @Gulce ,

I have the same kind of problem, only worse.

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve touched the PDF generation workflow (you helped me by accessing the application for the header image problem) and now I’ve launched one and the PDF isn’t at all what it used to be (my client didn’t warn me of the problem so I don’t know how long the problem has been there).

Here’s what’s on the screen (and what should be in the PDF):

And here’s the PDF (colors changed and data invisible):

I’ve tried reverting to previous versions of the plugin, but to no avail. I thought it was because of the graphic I added, but even removing it doesn’t change anything.

Thank you for your help.

Hi @LydiaProvin,
Thanks for reaching out!

Yes, we are aware of the issue you mentioned. When we select a color for an element using the “color variables” section in the editor and then reference that variable in the element properties, the issue arises.

Our team is actively working on resolving this issue. I will make sure to keep you updated on the progress and let you know as soon as it’s fixed. In the meantime, as a workaround, please use a specific hex code for the color instead of using a variable.

Thank you for your understanding and patience. If you have any further questions or need any assistance, please let me know.

Best regards,
Gulce

Hi @Gulce Gulce
