Issue with the Modern Rich Text Editor

Hi Zeroqode Team!

I love your Modern Rich Text Editor plugin!

However, the mentioning system is consuming A TON of “WU” from my app, as my userbase grows, since it has to fetch all users.

I am hoping for a way to type “@” and then SEARCH for the user I want, rather than all users prepopulating.

Maybe when they type “@”, it prepopulates a list of like 5-10 users, but then when they type beyond that, it actually performs a fuzzy search and populates the list accordingly.

Is this a feature request that would be feasible?

Regarding your suggestion, the idea of limiting the prepopulation of users when typing “@” and switching to a fuzzy search once the user types beyond a certain point is a great one. We will definitely pass this along to our development team for future improvements.

Thank you @mina.rotari! I actually spent all night last night getting AI to custom-code a plugin for me to work in tandem with the Modern RTE plugin and it works! Happy to share that code with you and the team if helpful.
