🔗 - Link Info and Preview - New Plugin from Zeroqode

Hey guys,

I’ve purchased this plugin and I’ve been playing around with it for a bit. It’s really good with most links, but with certain links I get this error message in the logs when doing the API data call :

Workflow error - Temporary error connecting to Link Info - Get Link Info (raw message: {“message”:“Internal Server Error”})

It seems to only happen related to certain links. It’s blocking my development at the moment because I can’t catch the error in the workflow to work around it, as it’s a data call. Here are three of the links that have caused this error as an example :

I’m looking for a plugin that can receive data about a URL and save the data to a DB record.

For that reason, I think I need to be able to use it as a Workflow Action, where the workflow actions important here would be:

Get data based on URL → Create DB record (Thing)

Does this plugin allow this?

If so, how?

Additionally, if the URL returns a status code (for example, 404) I want access to that status code without displaying a cryptic message in a dialogue box.

• Title: text
• Description: text
• Valid Url: yes/no

Current plugin functionality doesn’t provide such a feature, regretfully.

Hi @richardosborne14, sorry for the delayed reply.

It seems to only happen related to certain links.

Regretfully, this happens due to these sites’ policy (they are blocking requests from sources/devices that they consider as suspicious, including requests from our plugin). Thus we can’t influence this factor much, regretfully.
We will update our plugin to show a related notification in such a case.
