Hi - thinking about buying Listly for a project, can you answer the following please:

  1. Are there size limitations on the backend database for this template?
  2. Any option to house the site on another platform aside from AWS?
  3. Should there be size limits on the database, what other solutions are viable to add to the tech stack?
  4. Any other information you think I should know, given the nature of my questions above?

Allow me to reply to your questions one by one;

Q1. Are there size limitations on the backend database for this template?
R1. Back end database size limitation will relate to the subscription plan that you will purchase for Bubble.io. Please see here the pricing and allocated resources accordingly: https://bubble.io/pricing

Q2. Any option to house the site on another platform aside from AWS?
R2. Unfortunately or not, but all applications created on Bubble should be hosted on Bubble. I would propose to consider it as an advantage, because you won’t have to worry about infrastructure, servers, database maintenance, etc. Everything will be taken care of automatically behind the scenes.

Q3. Should there be size limits on the database, what other solutions are viable to add to the tech stack?
R3. Same as in R1. Database size limitation depends only on the subscription plan that needs to be purchased from Bubble. On the initial, “Hobby” plan, your database size limit is only 2 Gb. During the deployment process and later - launching live - you may need to upgrade it to a more advanced one, which will better fit your necessities. it is totally up to you and couldn’t be seen as a strong necessity.

Q4. Any other information you think I should know, given the nature of my questions above?
R4. In addition, to get a full overview of the template, kindly follow these steps:

  • test the template functionality/design by visiting its Web demo page: https://listingpro.bubbleapps.io/
  • make sure that you have checked the template documentation to investigate the structure and main features of the current template set up on the template page https://docs.zeroqode.com/templates/listy-directory-and-listings-template;
  • take into consideration that our templates are web apps with a responsive design (they will work and look nice on the desktop and mob browsers);
  • all our templates are fully customizable, which means it is possible to change almost any design/functional part (solid Bubble skills are needed).

If you would like to customize the template by yourself, that would require gaining some solid Bubble skills first.
