Map Extender - Clear Directions

Hi there,

I’m using the Map Extender Plugin to chart directions with wayPoints (line in red). When a user clicks on the waypoint they can select to get directions to that specific point (line in blue). I can’t find a way to remove the original direction and the new direction (line in blue) gets hidden by the original direction (line in red).

Is there a way to hide the original direction line?

When I do use the option for Reset Map a Map Extender - it removes all the custom styles added to the map.

Hello @rohanantao,

I apologize for the delayed response :frowning:

Could you please provide screenshots to illustrate the details mentioned above? Having reference photos will greatly assist us in providing the necessary support. Additionally, if you could create a video recording using a tool like loom.com or your preferred software, it would be even more beneficial for us to understand the issue thoroughly.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to assisting you further

Wishing you a great week ahead :hugs:

Hi @dorel,

Thanks for your message. I have linked the loom video recording here - Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording Software | Loom

After testing on desktop and mobile, this seems to be an issue on mobile devices.

Video Recording:

  1. When the page is loaded it creates a direction map with a red line.
  2. When we select the water station along the route and click the direction icon, the water station direction (a blue line) is hidden behind the original direction line (on desktop it’s added above so you can see the blue line).

I tried Reset a Map Extender and it works, but it removes all the styling on the page, and since the JAVASCRIPT STYLE ARRAY is static it shows the default styling. (Screenshot -

Hi @rohanantao,

Thank you for providing detailed information about the issue.

Would it be possible for you to add our email address, support@zeroqode.com, to the list of collaborators for your app? This would allow us to test the plugin within your environment and better understand the problem. Please grant us edit rights so that we can create a separate test page for this specific use case, ensuring that it doesn’t interfere with your app’s current functionality. Don’t be concerned about any red warning message; as Zeroqode is on an Agency plan, it doesn’t matter which Bubble plan your application uses. You can add us via your app’s Settings → Collaboration.

I’ll forward all of this information, along with your app’s details, to our development team so they can investigate the unexpected behavior on mobile devices.

Additionally, could you please specify the devices and their operating system versions on which you’ve encountered this on your app?

Wishing you a great rest of the week

Hi @dorel,

I’ve added zeroqode as a collaborator to the project.

This was appearing on iphone 12 - iOS Version 17.1.1

Hi @dorel,

Would it be possible for the dev team to look into the Reset a Map Extender action to keep the Javascript style. Currently if you click reset it removes all the Javascript styles. I tried using a condition based on a yes/no state to update the style, but it doesn’t work. If the reset can include the styles, I can just reset the map before each new direction and not have to worry about the layering.

Hi @rohanantao,

Thank you for granting access to your page. I was able to log in using the single account in the User database. However, when I click on a marker, I noticed that nothing happens, and no popup appears as you described in your previous message. Could you please double-check your setup to ensure that everything is configured correctly and provide a step-by-step guide on how to replicate the issue on your page?

Regarding the “Reset map” action, I will consult with the developer to investigate this matter. However, based on my current knowledge, it may not be possible to modify the code to prevent the style from changing when the action is triggered. I will confirm this with the developer and get back to you.

I’m looking forward to your response, and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! :turkey:

Hey @dorel ,

Thanks for that. I have removed the part that tracks the user location (as I realised you wont be in the same location as me). I have linked the video to recreate here - Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording Software | Loom.

Do let me know what the dev team comes back with. Else, I’ll see if i can find a work around.

Hi @rohanantao,

Thank you once again for providing us with additional details.

I’ve created an investigation report for the developers to explore the feasibility of implementing a feature that allows users to add a second route on the map while removing the first route when needed. I will keep you updated on the developer’s response.

We appreciate your understanding and wish you a great day ahead :hugs:

Hey @dorel,

Thanks so much for that. It would be really really helpful and would ease a lot of the issues im facing with trying to remove the existing route to display the new route, as the only thing i can think off is to create a new page with the location and close the page once the user is done with the route. Will wait for your team to respond.

Hi @rohanantao,

You’re very welcome, and it’s my pleasure to assist you

Regarding the investigation into the removal of the previous route, I haven’t received any updates from the development team yet. Rest assured that I will keep you informed as soon as I receive a response from them.

If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Wishing you a great day ahead :hugs:

Hello @rohanantao,

We are thrilled to announce the release of Map Extender version 1.53.0, packed with several noteworthy enhancements. In this update, we’ve made improvements, including a significant change to the “reset” action, which no longer deletes the map’s style if you’ve set specific data in the Map Extender style input. Additionally, a new action has been introduced, allowing you to delete directions set on the map, with the option to remove either the previous direction or all of them.

We encourage you to update the plugin to the latest version to leverage these enhancements and incorporate the new features into your application.

Furthermore, it would be greatly appreciated if you could spare a moment to share your experience with us on Trustpilot, stating your thoughts on our plugins and Zeroqode as a company.

Should you have any further questions or encounter any issues, please don’t hesitate to contact us either via email at support@zeroqode.com or by leaving a message here on our forum.

Wishing you a joyful holiday season ahead! :santa:

@dorel - thanks so much for this. I can’t wait to try it out. You guys made my Christmas gift come early. Will treat it out today and let you know how it goes.

Hello @rohanantao,
