MapBox: Blurry cluster markers

Hi guys,

I have written about this before. The MapBox markers, when using Add Cluster are very blurry. I can only use the Cluster function in my use case.

How do we improve the resolution of the markers?

There must be a solution consider its sub-par on desktop, and much more so on mobile devices.

We need at least 2x the resolution and preferably 3x. Maybe a new “Add cluster” action where its possible to set the marker size. Separate from the existing Add Cluster action.

It looks like you’re asking about adding a custom icon size for cluster markers. As we discussed previously, the library used by the plugin does not allow changing the marker size—it’s always displayed at a 1:1 ratio. Therefore, you’ll need to predefine the image sizes in the database to ensure they appear as you envision on the map.

Just to make sure, I have to pay for improving your plugin, with a blurry feature that’s already implemented and 6.500 others are using, while also subscribing to the plugin so that I can use it? :slight_smile:

Maybe I should charge for the feedback on bugs I provide :slight_smile: hmmmm…

Being a sponsor I would expect more in return. Maybe marketing it as a use case for the plugin on your social channels? A… this is what it can do, kind of thing.

Not quite sure if understand, it is possible to improve the resolution of the cluster markers or not?

Thank you for your message.

We have always valued your requests and have made many additions based on them. Regarding resizing cluster markers, as we discussed in other threads, we have decided not to implement this feature as it may cause further issues with functionality.

Regarding the blur, the quality of the marker icons remains unchanged; they are displayed exactly as they are in the database. To ensure the images maintain good quality, you can firstly have them in full size and use a tool that resizes them while preserving their quality - and upload them like that to the db.
