Marketplace Stripe plugin question

Hello!

I’m trying to create a marketplace with a template but I get an error when I try to complete the payment.
Could it be because I don’t use Stripe Marketplace Express plugin?

Here’s screens of the error message I get when the buyer wants to complete a job.

Appreciate any help, thanks!

Hello, @nazariansevakleo
Thanks for reaching out.

First of all, can you please let me know which exactly plugin you are trying to use?
The most probable reason for the reproduced error -incomplete configuration of the plugin.

So, in case you are using another payment plugin in your application, please note that you should delete all related workflows\elements for the Stripe Marketplace Express.

As we know, by default, templates have a simple Bubble Stripe plugin, but you should include all required keys and set required workflows.
In case if you haven’t installed another plugin for payments, but also haven’t configured the Stripe plugin - you will not be able to work with payments at all.

Please make sure you created your Stripe account and introduced all keys in the plugin’s tab.
In case I can help you with some additional information - please let me know.

Best regards,

Hello, thanks for answering.

I’m using the Stripe plugin and Uplance template. I followed the instructions again but got this message instead. I’m gonna try to test it out a little bit later with new accounts and new stripe connected sellers.

As I can see from this error, you have an insufficient balance.
The transfer or payout could not be completed because the associated account does not have a sufficient balance available.
Create a new transfer or payout using an amount less than or equal to the account’s available balance.

Please allow me to recommend you to use the live keys carefully and only after checking all your workflow.

Additionally, I’d like to advise you to turn off automatic payouts in your Stripe Account.
Stripe offers a number of different payout schedule options. You can choose to automatically have funds paid out daily, weekly, or monthly. You can also set a custom payout schedule by setting your payout schedule to Manual and building a custom schedule in your Stripe integration backend.

If you turn off automatic payouts in the Dashboard, you must manually send funds to your bank account. You can do this either in the Payouts section of the Dashboard or by creating payouts using the API.

When you make a charge on your Stripe account, those funds go to your account’s pending balance. They then become available sometime later depending on your account’s payout schedule. If you’re using the default settings of daily automatic payouts, when they become available, they are immediately included in a payout to your bank account. If you want to instead accumulate an available balance over time, you need to set your account to manual payouts.

Where you can find the reference to documentation about Payouts: https://stripe.com/docs/payouts

You can view a list of all of your payouts and the date that they are expected to be received in your bank account in the Dashboard: Stripe: Sign in

Here you should choose the “Manual payout”.

Please try it and let me know if everything is working properly.
Best regards,

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate your help even though it’s Stripe that complicates it.

Ok, I think the issue is that the buyers funds go to my refund & disputes account instead of connected accounts? I also got this message if it helps, I still get the same problem in manual however. I’m thinking it should work that the buyer enters credit cards → funds gets transfered to marketplace stripe account → seller gets funds in their stripe account automatically without any manual work?

All the best!

Hello, @nazariansevakleo

Due to the fact that you are using the standard Stripe plugin, please check this documentation:

Also, allow me to recommend you some YouTube videos:

As I can see from the message, your balance is negative. It means that the payments are settled incorrectly.
Please check this link, where you can find the reference to documentation about Payouts: https://stripe.com/docs/payouts

Looking to hear from you soon.
