Need help with the configuration of Search&Autocorrect plugin when the search term is backspaced

I am using the Search&Autocorrect plugin in bubble, it works fine but when i remove the values from the input it is tied to, it does not search accordingly.
how to make it detect when values are removed from the searchbox? Like if I type “test”, it shows me all the names with test but if then I proceed to type something specific after it, it shows me that. Eventually when I backspace the values to only “test”, it does not show all the values with test in it rather the specific value I typed. I would greatly appreciate your help in this.

Hi @gupta,

Thank you for your message and sorry for the delayed reply.

We currently have a reduced staff due to the Christmas holidays, but rest assured, we remain dedicated to helping you.

To ensure the plugin detects and responds accurately when values are backspaced or removed, you might need to adjust the plugin’s settings or the workflow in Bubble. Here are some general fix tips you can try:

  • Please ensure that the plugin is set to trigger a search whenever the input value changes. This should include cases when characters are added as well as when they are removed.

  • In your Bubble workflow, you can add conditions to the search action. For instance, you can set it to perform a new search whenever the input’s value is modified.

  • Use Bubble’s debugging tools to see what happens when you change the input. (this info could help identify the issue)

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, please provide more details about your current setup (screenshots of your configuration, and actual and expected results), and I’ll be happy to assist you further.

Thank you for your understanding and I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Happy holidays. :christmas_tree:

Best Regards,
Daniel.
