Hi everyone,

We have successfully published version 1.15.0 of the plugin. This release resolves issues with audio quality and size limits, improves the iOS Share Sheet, and ensures stable stop and upload behaviors.

Update Details

  • File Saving and Sharing: Switched iOS saving to use expo-sharing. Both iOS and Android now correctly save and share files using sanitized user names instead of UUIDs.
  • Audio Quality and Formats: Recording options now strictly apply the selected quality settings. The AAC format on Android is now true ADTS rather than MP4.
  • Recording Stability: Stopping a recording now works correctly after background interruptions like phone calls or Siri. The duration calculates native time and properly excludes pauses. Added silent microphone permission checks before starting a recording.
  • Uploads and Limits: Blocked double-stop actions and prevented duplicate uploads. Repetitive error loops no longer trigger when the file size limit is reached.
  • Web Enhancements: Web uploads now use the real file extension and MIME type. Added crash protection for large files up to 80MB in JSON mode, and prepared the foundation for native multipart uploads.
  • State Management: The reset action now completely deletes recording files and resets the file size to zero.
  • Troubleshooting: Added an internal debug log for easier testing and validation.
