Paint & Signature Pad and Bubble Page PDF Converter plugins issue

Dears,

I bought these two plugins Paint & Signature Pad and Bubble Page PDF Converter, and I am having problems with them, because I got the 2 workers signatures within a popup form using the Paint & Signature Pad and I send these signatures to another popup that includes the pdf template, so I used the Bubble Page PDF Converter plugin to convert it to pdf, but I got a black rectangle where I should have the signature.

Bellow you will find the design so you can understand it better.

Additionally, Bellow you will find the workflow that starts when I push the save button in the first popup (form).

And the workflow that starts when I closed the second popup, with the PDF template, that generates the pdf file.

Thanks in advance. Regards,

Hi @edwinbolanosb,

Thanks for reporting. Could you please specify how exactly you’re sending data from one popup to another with the signatures. Do you actually mean the resulted images after you draw the signatures that are being obtained as a black rectangle? Because we cannot understand for sure what you’re trying to accomplish. Also, go to Settings - Collaboration tab within your editor. Add our support@zeroqode.com account to your collaborator’s list. Also, please tell us your app name and page name where this problem occurs on test.

Note: avoid the warning message regarding plan, as we are an agency and you can easily add us to your collaborators.

We’ll investigate it inside your app and get back to you with a feedback asap.

Best,
Alex

Dear Alexandru,

  1. I just included support@zeroqode.com as a collaborator, with all the permissions active.
  2. The app name is “Pdf-formatos”
  3. The page name is “app”
  4. I am sending data from the popup named “Triaje Popup Completo v2”,
to the popup named “PDF Popup Triaje v2”
  5. I am sending the data loading the image to the “PDF Popup Triaje v2” custom states “FirmaMedico” and “FirmaColaborador”

Basically what I need is to get information and the signatures in one popup or page (so it can be responsive) and as soon as the user clic the save button create a pdf, and send it by email. This pdf is based on defined template.

I would prefer to have the defined templates in different pages because the objective of the app is to have dynamic forms and a different pdf templates. So your suggestions are very welcome.

Thanks in advance,

Dear Alexandru,
Could you send me an example, or explain me the process to get a signature in one page (responsive), and create a pdf (that includes this signature) based on a template located in another page?
Basically, it is what I need.
Thanks

Hi @edwinbolanosb,

Thanks for sharing your app. Unfortunately, we are not able to test it and see the issue with that black rectangle, as we do not understand the language. Could you please share with us the exact steps to reproduce this issue, or it would be best to share a screencast with steps and obtained results after you download the PDF, so we can test it on our side as well and have a much better understanding of what’s going on.

However, we tried to reproduce this problem on our end, but with no luck unfortunately. It seems to be working properly and we’re able to get the image URL after you draw. Perhaps the reason of this issue is somewhere in plugins implementation. But the workflow seems to be correct:

Because in order to get the output image URL, it is required to use the action, first. However, it might also be a problem with so many action steps in a single button, thus, it cannot always receive the appropriate results just because it doesn’t respond that fast.

Besides all this, it seems to be configured properly anyway. We can also see that custom states created ‘FirmaColaborador’ and ‘FirmaMedico’ are not being used, but it isn’t that of an issue because you’re retrieving plugin’s state with output URL that should work after calling the Get image Paint&Signaturepad action:

So this part should be good as well. And for the PDF plugin, we didn’t find the element with appropriate ID for conversion:

Could you please share a screencast and also explain whether you’re not receiving the output URL itself, or you do get that image but after conversion - it results in a black rectangle?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @edwinbolanosb,

After checking some other forum issues, I’m afraid the ‘black rectangle’ is a plugin related issue, indeed. Please let us investigate and fix it on our side. I’ll notify you back on this matter asap.

Thank you for patience.

Hi @edwinbolanosb, you can try to use a Background style for the image element, then give it a try again. Our development team is working on all issues and I’m going to notify you as soon as everything is fixed. As for now, you can try the background workaround as it might help for resulted PDF to obtained the expected results.

Dear Alexandru,
Do you have any progress on this issue?

Hi @edwinbolanosb, thanks for catching up. Sorry for this trouble, but our development team is still working on issues with this plugin. A couple of them have been investigated, but it seems to have some tailored behavior that is not working properly. You can be sure that I’ll notify you back as soon as everything is fixed and we launch an updated version.

Hi @edwinbolanosb ,

We have a major update. We managed to launch a new plugin element that has been rewritten from scratch. But an important note before upgrading to the latest version:

New element added is not compatible with previous actions. You may use current version of plugin as is, however, if upgrading the plugin to the latest version (which offers new element) – it will require adjustments in workflow and design once it is used.

Thanks a lot for your patience.
