PDF Converter - Radio buttons are not showing properly

Hi - I am using Bubble Page to PDF Converter and I see that the radio button options are not displaying properly in the PDF.

After the user selects the radio button options, I expected that the PDF will display the selected option properly with a dot in the circle, and leave the unselected options without the dot.

But seeing the PDF looks like all of the options have dots in the circle, and is really confusing to find out which option was selected.

Can you please suggest a fix or workaround for this issue? Thanks for the help.

I also ran into another issue with Repeating groups, where I cannot hide the delete/edit icons on RG rows, when converted to the PDF.

When trying to use ignore element ID, only the icons of the first row is not shown in PDF, whereas the icons of next rows show up in pdf.

I appreciate if anyone in the forum or zeroqode support can help with this.

I tried searching the forums and couldn’t find any solution. Thanks for the help in advance.

Hello @partha, thank you for your message, and thanks for using our plugin :hugs:

In order to let us check the issue and perform a few tests, can you please add our support@zeroqode.com account to the Collaborator’s list of your application (with edit rights - to be able to perform tests on the separately created page)?
Please ignore the warning message - our account is on an Agency plan and anyone can add us to the Collaborator list.
To investigate the errors from your side, please share with us - steps to reproduce your issue (name of the pages).

Waiting for your reply!

Hi @Greg.P - Thanks for your response. I have added the given email as a collaborator.

Here are the steps to reproduce.

  1. Use the link https://d2g-01.bubbleapps.io/version-test/pdf-plugin-test to access the application
  2. Use username/password as credentials
  3. On the page, select any set of random radio buttons
  4. Click on ‘Save Case Sheet’ at the bottom
  5. Check the downloaded PDF and the uploaded URL (that will show up in the alert box)
  6. To re-run, click on ‘Edit Case Sheet’ and ‘Save Case Sheet’ again. None of the other buttons are active.

Issues I am looking to resolve:

  • Delete/Edit icons in the Repeating group are removed only from the first row, and not from the other rows when ‘ignored elements ID’ is used in the workflow step.
  • Radio buttons whether selected or not selected appears as selected with a blue dot in the circle

Thanks for your help.

Any luck with the issue @Greg.P ?

Hi @partha, thanks for sharing the credentials of your app.

We will need some additional time to test and find out what might be the issue on your side.
I will get back with an update once there will be progress.
Thank you for your understanding.

Sure, Thanks @Greg.P for the update.

For the icons not hiding in Repeating Group, I was able to get a workaround by adding pauses.

If you can help me with any workaround for the radio button issue in the PDF (appearing as selected), that would be very helpful.

Thanks again.

@partha, glad you could find the workaround for the ignored icons. We have made a few tests just a few moments ago and wanted to advise the same. When adding the pause before the action that converts the page to PDF the icons disappear.

We will need some time to investigate and test what is the cause for the unchecked radio buttons to have a small circle. As well, we will test the strange behavior of the ignored elements. Once there will be any progress will get back with a message.

Thank you for your patience.
Have a good day!

Hello @partha, thank you for your patience.

Our Devs team successfully fixed and updated the plugin to version 1.56.0. With the new version, the radio buttons should be properly visible when generating PDF documents.
Please make sure to update the plugin to the latest version inside your Editor and give it a try on the test pages.

Let me know if that helped, or if there is anything else I can assist you with.

Hi @Greg.P - Thanks for the fix. Unfortunately, even after upgrading the plugin, I see the results below.

I do see the new 1.56.0, to which I have upgraded, as in the picture below.

Sorry to report one more issue. Our customer is also not happy with the blurriness in the quality of the PDF that is generated. Is there anything that can be done to resolve that? I already have reduced the compression level to NONE, and still see that blurriness. Any help on this is appreciated too.

Hey @partha, hope this message finds you well.

I have created a new test page based on the original test page you have shared to double-check how the radio buttons behave on your end. It seems like there was an old action in the Workflow, on the new test page I have used the latest plugin actionGenerate pdf from html server side ConvertortoPDFv2.0’. When using this action the radio buttons will show as below -

When using the newest action in the Workflow the quality of the converted PDF file will be much better, please give it a try.

Let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with.
Have a good weekend ahead!

Thanks, @Greg.P - The issue of the radio button appearing incorrectly is gone. Thanks for the fix.

However, I noticed that the header is not showing up in the group when I create the PDF using the same page that you created

As you can see from the picture below, between those 2 groups there is heading text on each group, which is NOT showing up.

Happy I could help you sort it out :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for sharing the screenshot from your side, we will make some additional test on our side to check what might be the cause of the missing Heading texts.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hi @Greg.P - Any ETA for the fix? Customer is expecting to go live soon, and this issue is blocking them. Any thing you can do to expedite would be great. Thanks again.

Hello @partha

We are looking into the issue you got with the missing Headings from the converted PDF. I will do my best to get back with an answer later today.
