Play video when Countdown ended

Hi there,

I’m building a workflow that when a ZQ contdown ends, show a ZQ videoplayer & start playing the video.

I discovered that when countdown action & player combination doesn’t work as expected. (Stop & playing video without countdown condition works)

Could you take a look if I’m missing anything? Or is there anything stems from the plugins?

Here’s my editor (for a demo purpose only): Videomob | Bubble Editor

Thanks!

Hi @ohyoonkwn, thanks for reaching out.

Please replace in your workflow deprecated actions, because due to them it can work improperly.

Please let me know if the issue will persist after the action replacement.

Hi Serg,

I’ve changed the player to ‘new video player’ & updated the action. However the issue persist.

For your case would better fit our other plugin: Simple Stopwatch / Timer.
It has the corresponding action, allowing you to implement the required action after the countdown stop.

The ZQ Countdown plugin is only able to make a countdown until a specific date, then do a certain action.

Also, kindly note that on certain browsers is video autoplay is restricted, and the user needs to press the play button manually.

Hope it helps. Let me know if I can help with anything else related to our plugins
Have a nice weekend!

Hi Serg,

Following your suggestion, I tried Simple Stopwatch/ Timer plugin, but it doesn’t solve my issue yet.

It seems like that plug in is not countdown but it’s a timer (time only increase). In fact it doesn’t matter if I can trigger action at pre-defined time, let say after 20 second when user trigger the action. But I don’t see a suitable event for that.

Here’s my demo editor: Videomob | Bubble Editor

I have 3 different timer example (I think the ZQ countdown plug-in is double in my app, as I have only one timer plug in but 2 identical timers are available in my editor).

Could you take a look and see if I’m doing anything wrong?

Thank you!!

Hi @ohyoonkwn, thanks for your patience.

Allow me to mention that this plugin has 3 different elements that can be used (Timer, Countdown, Stopwatch).
See the representation on the Demo page: https://zeroqode-demo-18.bubbleapps.io/stopwatch
and description on supporting documentation: https://docs.zeroqode.com/plugins/simple-timer-countdown-and-stopwatch-plugin#countdown-element

For your case, please use the Countdown element:

Yes! Mystery solved! The countdown element from the second plug-in works.

Still have a question

I see that when the countdown element is not visible, it does not process data. Is that true?
I don’t want to show the element because I want to control how the countdown is displayed…

Another point is I want to show countdown up to hours, but not days. e.g. 25 hours instead of 1 day 1 hour. Is that possible for the ‘Simple Stopwatch’ plugin? The other countdown plug in hands that well.

Hi @ohyoonkwn, you’re welcome

Yes, being not visible, it doesn’t react as it should.

I’m afraid the current plugin functionality doesn’t provide such an option. Sorry for the inconvenienceю
We will check how feasible it will be to add the requested feature to the future plugin update, thank you for suggesting it.

If any other plugin-related questions will appear, drop a line here, I will be glad to help
