Plugin Error: "ZXing is not defined" – Zerocode Barcode & QR Code Reader (Bubble.io)

Hello Zerocode Team,

I am reaching out to report a critical issue with your plugin: Barcode & QR Code Reader for Bubble.io.

The plugin was functioning correctly until Friday. However, as of this morning (Monday), we are encountering the following error message whenever the Barcode/QR Live Scanner element is used:
The plugin Barcode & QR Code Reader / element Barcode/QR Live Scanner threw the following error:
ReferenceError: ZXing is not defined
at e… [as init] (PLUGIN_1528377386554x888430182907510800/Barcode—QR-Code-Reader-initialize–Barcode/QR-Live-Scanner-.js:3:9431)
at eval (PLUGIN_1528377386554x888430182907510800/Barcode—QR-Code-Reader-update–Barcode/QR-Live-Scanner-.js:3:2491)
(please report this to the plugin author)

Please investigate and advise if a fix or update is forthcoming, or if there’s a recommended workaround we can use in the meantime.

Thanks for reporting this and for sharing the full error message — that’s super helpful.

We’ve just double-checked the plugin on our live demo page, and everything seems to be working correctly on our end. We’re not seeing the ZXing is not defined error you mentioned.

To help us dig into this further, could you please share a few more details about your setup?

  • What version of the plugin are you currently using?
  • How is the Barcode/QR Live Scanner element implemented in your workflow?
  • Are you loading the scanner on a reusable element, inside a popup, or conditionally?
  • Does the issue persist if you place the scanner on a clean, blank test page?

These details will help us better understand the context and see if something in the environment or setup is affecting it.
