Glad to hear everything is working again now.
From what you described, it does sound like the original compressor element or its configuration may have been in a broken state, and rebuilding it from scratch was the right decision.
Unfortunately, that can occasionally happen in Bubble when elements or workflows get into an inconsistent state, even after updates.
