Remove s3 reference from HTML

We are undergoing a security audit and SecurityScorecard.com is making a MASSIVE DEAL out of the fact that we have references to s3 on our site.

After asking ChatGPT, they narrowed it down to 4 plugins (there were 4 references to s3). I deleted two of them, but the remaining two seem to be the Loom-Like Screen Recorder and CamCapture, both of which are key parts of our product.

Is there a way to keep the functionality of these products without seeing s3 in a URL when inspecting our page source?

Thank you so much!

Hello @cbray ,
Thank you for contacting us.

The Loom-Like Screen and Video Recorder plugin does not interact with S3 or any external libraries for uploading or downloading files. All recordings are stored either locally or within your Bubble app, so there should not be any references to S3 in the plugin itself.

If you are still seeing S3 references in your page source, it may be related to other parts of your application or configurations. We recommend reviewing any additional resources or external integrations that could be causing this.

Have a nice day! :sunny:

Anton

Thanks @AntonZ .

It seems that the only way to check is to uninstall them and see if the reference is gone…so it’s somewhat of a guessing game. I removed the AudioRecorder which did reference s3.

Is there a chance that s3 is used to check if the plugin is installed for telemetry (mainly seeing if it’s installed and paid for)? That’s what ChatGPT said it likely was.

Or should I just start a new app and install the current plugins 1-by-1 to see which ones create the s3 reference?

I really need it removed but want to keep all my plugins :/.

Hello @cbray ,

Your best option would be to create a new Bubble page where you add these plugins one by one.

I have consulted the developers and the plugins you have in your app have nothing to do with S3.
